We are pleased to announce the start of our before and after school program through the YMCA. The program will begin each morning at 7a.m. and will end each evening promptly at 6p.m. The YMCA does take Title 20 so the cost associated with the program can be affordable to you. Our own Hubbard staff will be staffing this program so we hope to provide as much enrichment for the children as possible.

Registration packets are available online at ymcacolumbus.org/child-care and children must be registered 48 hours prior to the start date. If you have any questions, please call the Hilltop YMCA at 614-276-8224 and ask for Patty Bungo or email her at pbungo@ymcacolumbus.org

Hours of Operation:

Learning starts at 9:00 a.m. and the school day ends at 3:30 p.m. Students may arrive as early as 8:30 to enjoy a balanced breakfast. By 9:00 all students will begin their academic program. Every minute counts!  Please make sure your student is at school all day everyday!

Students are dismissed from school at 3:30. All students need to be picked up at 3:30.  The office will close at 3:00pm and no student will be signed out after that time.  Please plan appointments as late in the day as possible. Each student's academic day is quite full. Any time a student is absent, late or leaves school early provides the chance for key academic moments to be lost.

Change in a student's dismissal plan must be done before 3pm. Parents / Guardians will need to send a note to the student's teacher. The staff will not change dismissal plans without prior communication. If a note or phone call isn't given to your child's teacher your child will be transported home as normal.

Community Partnerships
McGraw Hill Education, King Avenue United Methodist Church, The Columbus Underground, Columbus Assistance League of Metro Columbus, Nationwide Energy Partners and The Greater Columbus Convention Center have adopted Hubbard Mastery School.  These organizations provide resources, volunteers, reading buddies, and supplies to our students.

Homework Information
Every school day can now be extended into the evening with the assistance of a computer or a device that connects to the internet.  See your child thrive by connecting learning to home. Ask your child what their username and password are to monitor their learning.
Students in kindergarten - sixth grade have homework choices they can do every night. Homework has the purpose of helping students practice concepts that are learned during classroom lessons.
